Plus-quoted shell Ecovista Plc has formed two new subsidiaries: Hydrovista Ltd and Solar EV Ltd.
Hydrovista will focus on hydro-electric generation and Solar EV will specialise in the photovoltaic and solar energy sectors.
Hydrovista has already started negotiations about developing hydro-electric power generation on inland waterways.
Solar EV is talking with overseas photocells manufacturers in order to gain exclusive rights for the UK market for their products.
Ecovista had £255,000 in the bank at the end of 2011 but long-term creditors were more than that. Since then, £20,000 of loan notes have been converted into shares.
