Charles Boynton is the new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SunPower. Boynton joined the US-based solar company in June 2010 as Vice President of Corporate Finance and Corporate Development. In his new role, he will lead SunPower’s global finance, planning and accounting functions.

Jim Robo is to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at NextEra when the incumbent CEO, Lew Hay, steps down on 1st July 2012. Hay will subsequently serve as Executive Chairman for the clean energy company until his scheduled retirement in 2013. Robo currently holds the position of President and Chief Operating Officer at NextEra.

Formerly NATO Supreme Allied Commander for Europe and a Presidential candidate, Clark joins SoloPower as an independent director. He served with the US Army for 38 years and subsequently worked as an investment banker.

He joins the French energy company with the remit of overseeing the international expansion of its concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) activities. Previously with Dow Corning, Borgers has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry. He has worked in the United States, Japan and Europe.
