Ducatt (which stands for Dedicated Ultra Clear Anti-reflective Thin and Toughened solar glass) is a manufacturer of tailor made flat glass for photovoltaic modules, supplying to the c-SI, thin film, thermal and CSP industries. The company, which is based in Lommel, Belgium, is a split-off of Emgo, a leading manufacturer of drawn and blown glass. Driven by the phasing out of incandescent light bulbs in the EU, Ducatt was formed in 2011 through the takeover of Emgo’s light bulb division with 100 employees to focus on the solar sector. Its dedicated flat solar glass production facility was completely rebuilt with the installation of a new solar glass furnace and state-of-the-art production lines. Its unique product is a thin, toughened, ultra-transparent and anti-reflective glass.
