Second close for Clean Energy Fund

BNP Paribas Clean Energy Partners has raises €437 million for its Clean Energy Fund.  A clean energy infrastructure fund, the Clean Energy Fund aims to invest in assets with underwritten cash flows and the potential for capital enhancement. It focuses on on-shore wind, small scale hydro, solar photovoltaic and biomass and will invest in around 20 assets with proven technologies, primarily in Europe, having already invested in Italian solar power and French and Irish wind farms.

The fund has attracted institutional investors from the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Asia and Japan. Nicolas Ribes, Head of Alternative Sales at BNP Paribas Investment Partners, commented: “Within their alternative asset portfolios, investors are looking to deepen their allocations to clean energy infrastructure.”
