Call for submissions for the Tech Tour 2011 Cleantech Summit

European cleantech companies are invited to apply for the Tech Tour 2011 Cleantech Summit, a biannual event which profiles the 25 most dynamic cleantech companies of the coming cycle to around 150 international investors and senior industry participants in Geneva. The selected companies are chosen to attend for free solely according to their potential market impact and can be at any funding stage from start-up to pre-IPO. This year a selection committee of over 15 top venture-capital investors is being chaired by seasoned early-stage tech CEO and venture investor Fabian Ruechardt, with the Summit being presided over by Joerg Sperling of WHEB Partners.
Every submission that is received will be reviewed by two fully impartial committee members. The 2009 vintage of Tech Tour Cleantech Summit companies went on to include some of the most notable exits, follow-on funding rounds and sub-sector leaders of recent years, including SiC Processing, Concentrix Solar, Solarion, AlertMe, Torqeedo, Power PLUS Communications, Aquamarine Power, Bekon and Novaled. This year’s selection committee consists of senior partners from ARAX Capital Partners, Axiom Ventures, Capricorn Ventures, Environmental Technologies Fund, GE Global Research, Global BSN, Good Energies, Intel Capital, Israel Cleanech Ventures, Niton Capital, Vaekstfonden, VNT and Wellington Partners.

Cleantech companies with operations in Europe – including Israel, Russia and Turkey – are invited to apply by April 15th with selected companies being notified and a public announcement made shortly before the Summit, which takes place under the auspices of the European Tech Tour Association. Tech Tour, as it is known, was founded in Geneva in 1998 in response to the growing interest in emerging technology companies in various European regions and is an independent, not-for-profit organization composed of key contributors to the high-technology industry. Its other biannual events include other sectoral summits in MedTech, Cloud & ICT and Web & Mobility as well as regional Tours for Southern Europe, DACH, Russia & Israel, UK & Ireland, France & Benelux and the Nordic region.
