Ingenious Ventures, a specialist Venture Capital Trust manager, has launched two Solar UK VCTs which aim to benefit from the UK's Feed-in Tariff scheme announced in April 2010. The VCTs will aim to raise up to £30 million and will invest in roof mounted and ground mounted installations across the UK, concentrated in the South of England. Ingenious Ventures is working in conjunction with the Low Carbon Group to source and operate the investments.

mO3 Power, a UK solar PV park developer, has closed a second investment round. Investors included entrepreneur Tom Singh and his family trusts. Singh, who has been appointed as non-Executive Director of the company, expects mO3 to become "the volume player in the UK solar PV market".
