Zouk deploys cleantech funds

Private equity fund manager, Zouk Capital, has announced three investments from its latest fund, Cleantech Europe II.

Zouk claims that the fund, which closed earlier this year at €230 million, is the largest dedicated to growth capital investment in cleantech companies in Europe. The investments totalled €40 million in value. Details of the individual investment sums were not disclosed.

FFK Environment GmhH

FFK, which was founded in 1992 in Peitz, near Cottbus in Germany, has developed a proprietary technology for the production of fuel from multiple solid waste sources. It has capacity to produce 280,000 tons of fuel in the German State of Brandenburg. FFK ranks as the largest exporter of RDF from Germany to Poland.

OZZ Electric Inc.

OZZ Electric is a Canadian energy efficiency and electrical contractor. The company works with its partner, OZZ Solar, on solar installations, building management systems and smart meter roll-outs.

va-Q-tec

German company, va-Q-tec, manufacturers ultra-high performance insulation panels for purposes including refrigeration, packaging, cold-chain logistics, construction and the automotive industry.
