Europe's Fastest Growing Cleantech Companies

The main criteria include being headquartered in Europe and active within the cleantech sector. Companies were ranked by their growth rate between the two most recent fi nancial years (2006/2008 or 2007/2009), depending on the latest available accounts. Companies are not required to be in profit. Companies are identified in several ways. Some nominated themselves, or were nominated by VCs, equity analysts and advisors. Other sources were used, such as trade press, media coverage and through GP Bullhound’s internal research and knowledge about the companies in the sector. The judging panel had the diffi cult task of agreeing on five nominees that they believed to have the best future growth potential and star quality. These fi ve companies were invited to present ”Dragons-den” style to the judging panel, which scored each company based on a set of criteria. The outcome of the scoring decided who won the following four awards:

• Vision & Future Growth Potential
• Best Management
• Best Execution
• Uniqueness of Offering

The Fastest Growing Company is awarded per definition to the company ranked as number one.

In the Ones to Watch section we have listed the companies that are not yet ready for the revenue growth ranked list that we believe are the up and coming and most promising companies, and which we expect to see in the Fastest Growing List in the coming years.
