Solar High Yield adds to board

Marion Fraser has joined the Board of Directors of Solar High Yield Income Fund 2011, a vehicle formed to develop and operate solar PV power generation projects in Ontario, Canada. Fraser has 28 years’ experience in the energy sector. Her career has included successful stints at Ontario Hydro and Enbridge Gas Distribution and she also served as a sustainability expert on the McGuinty government in 2003.

Culculus makes two board hires

German smart metering and energy management company Culculus has  made two appointments to its supervisory board. Chairman Albert Fischer will now be joined by Gottfried Neuhaus, who was the founder of European venture capital firm Neuhaus Partners, and Pieter Trienekens who has 25 years’ experience within the gas industry.

Intelligent Energy appoints Hunton

Intelligent Energy, the global clean power systems company, has announced the appointment of Steve Hunton to the role of Managing Director, Stationary & Backup Power division. Hunton will be responsible for growing the company’s stationary and backup power business globally, shaping strategy and developing key partnerships in the sector.

AllEarth Renewables hire solar veteran

Bill Kanzer, a 20-year veteran of the solar sector, has joined  AllEarth Renewables, a Vermont-based designer and manufacturer of grid-connected solar renewable energy systems. Kanzer will direct the company’s sales and marketing effort. He has also been appointed to the management team. His background includes experience in  PV sales and marketing, research, product development and information systems.

Liquid Metal Battery hires CEO

Cleantech People Moves in association with Climate Human Capital – November 2011

Liquid Metal Battery, a specialist in cheap storage for wind and solar power, has hired Phil Giudice as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Giudice, who was previously the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources Commissioner, announced on Twitter that one of his immediate tasks will be to raise more money to build up the company.
